It was the grand opening of the Leovegas Casino right in the center of the Vegas strip. I had my eyes set on this grand opening for months now. I am not the biggest gambling man in the world, but I could not get over the sheer size and magnitude of this place that was being promoted every day on television. I live in Colorado and I was still seeing ads on television every day. That goes to show what kind of money they were pumping into the advertising of this extravagant casino. I heard the following over and over again, “Come one, come all to experience Leovegas Casino freespins at the grand opening!” After hearing about this grand opening over and over again, I decided that I was going to go on a weekend road trip to Las Vegas to see what the fuss was all about. It had been quite a while since I had gone to a casino, but I was never a huge fan of going to casinos any way. I honestly thought it was just a perfect way to lose hard earned money. As a matter of fact, the last time I went to a casino I ended up in the red by over $200. I spent over $500 on the slots and I only won roughly $300. Even though I thought playing the games was fun, the end result of being $200 in the red did not sit well with me. I stayed at the Griffon Hotel on Sherway St which was about a 10 minute walk from the strip. After unpacking my bag and changing clothes, I was ready to see what this Leovegas Casino was all about.
When I walked up to the casino, I was amazed at the number of flashing lights and signs that were just at the front entrance. Freespins was flashing everywhere the eye could see, and it made it impossible not to get mesmerized. If someone was not careful, they could get hypnotized by all the flashing signs in the front of the building and walk inside on accident. When I walked inside, there were thousands of slot machines. It was the biggest casino I had ever been to in my entire life. Slot machines were the main focus, but there were lots of poker tables, Craps tables, bars, and even dancers for entertainment. At the main counter, which had a whopping 10 front desk workers on one shift, there were two big signs saying register for your freespins here. I asked one of the front desk workers how many freespins we had, and she informed me that we had 100 and they could be used at any slot game that night. They would expire at 4:00am when the casino closed for the night. The 100 freespins special had me feeling giddy to play the slots and I had an extremely positive view of Leovegas Casino thus far. I was ready to truly experience the extravaganza they had been promoting for months now.
I was hooked on the slots and the vast amount of different games they had was mind blowing. After trying several different slot machines, I found one that was pirate themed that really had me hooked for a while. I would surely say that of all the slot machines at Leovegas casino, the pirate themed one would be the most fun since I ended up spending half my freespins at it. The freespins lasted me about two hours, but I was ready for more. This is where they truly get a person hooked and go crazy on the slot machines. I will admit that Leovegas Casino did a fantastic job advertising and their 100 freespins idea was brilliant since I ended up spending about $100 after my freespins were complete. When I was done for the night, I ended up being about $150 on top so I would definitely call that a good night. The Leovegas Casino extravaganza was everything I had hoped for, and their 100 freespins special helped me win big time. It was time for me to head back to the Griffon Hotel for the night and celebrate my winnings. I ended up leaving the casino at around 2:30am so Sherway St was completely empty and I was the only one walking on the side of the road. It was a fun road trip to Vegas and I discovered my favorite casino in the process. I could not wait to go back again someday soon.
